Mariveles, Bataan: Hawla Beach Resort

I've been wandering for three years, and now I've decided to blog about my recent trips. I am not a professional blogger, I just want to share my travel tips and experience. 😉

Last Wednesday, we visited the hidden gem in Mariveles, Bataan - Claubel Beach Resort previously called Hawla Beach Resort for a day trip. The place is famously known as the "Mini Batanes".

You have to walk for 3-5 mins to reach the beach area. Just a tip, carry everything you need before going down because of steep hill. Another tip, bring food and lots of water because the resort doesn't have a restaurant and a sari-sari store.

Don't expect a white sand beach to welcome you, the sand is brown but not dirty. The water is swimmable and not itchy unlike the beach in Pico De Loro.

You won't see any garbage floating around the beach, the care takers has done a good job in keeping the resort clean. Thumbs up! 👍

(top view from the other side of the hill)

Don't forget to trek uphill to see this majestic view! You have to walk and walk in the heat of the sun to see this, but it will be worth it. I have weak lungs but I won't allow myself to miss seeing this. 😉

Because we didn't know that there was no food around the area, we went back to Town Proper about 3kms away from Claubel Beach Resort to buy food in Jollibee(this is the only fast food restaurant in the area). Buy food beforehand to save a lot of time and energy. Remember, going up and down the hill is very tiring.

The entrance fee is affordable but they will require you to rent a cottage depending on the number of people in a group. When we went there, we we're asked to rent two cottages because we are a big group(21 pax).

(pricelist)

Since we are a big group, we decided to rent two private vans because it's more convenient. The price of the van is 4000php excluding toll fees, gas and the driver's food.

The resort is 3-4 hours away from Metro Manila via private vehicle. If you want to know more about the resort, you can ask me via the comment section or message Claubel Beach Resort Facebook Page.
